Tammy Hoy

Biography:

Tammy hoy is a Toronto based self taught photographer. Her exploration of forgotten spaces has been the foundation of her photographic career. Seeking beauty in the old and decrepit, she is enchanted by our forgotten past.

Tammy’s work has appeared in various leading publications, ranging from The Toronto Star and JPG Magazine to the John’s Hopkins University Carey Business School Magazine and most recently Maisonneuve.

Tammy has worked in the media and arts industry since 1994 and is currently the senior graphic artist for The Canadian Press.

She has exhibited in the U.S. and Canada including Toronto’s CONTACT photography festival since 2005 and is currently represented by Toronto’s Latitude 44 Gallery. She is a member of the Riverdale Artists’ Network and is a founding member of the Shadow Collective, a collaboration of photographers devoted to the exploration and exhibition of forgotten places.
